July 3 & 4 - Freedom Fest
2 day event, day1 features 10k trail run, 20k/40k Mountain bike race, then day 2 features 800m/1600m swim race, and Triathlon. Location is Kualoa Ranch Oahu, and will take place on July 3 & 4. More info see www.freedomfesthawaii.com
June 5 - Ford 70.3 Ironman Hawaii (Honu)
Half Ironman triathlon held on the Big Island, will take place on June 5th.
March 28 - Lavaman Waikoloa
Olympic triathlon held on the Big Island in Waikoloa, will take place on March 28th.
March 21 - Waterfront Triathlon
Sprint triathlong "Waterfront at Puuloa" waterfront scheduled for March 21.
Nov 26 - Turkey Trot
10-mile run, scheduled for November 26, 2009
All registration on the race day only, at 6:30 a.m. at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand. The run begins as soon as all are registered, so participants are cautioned to arrive early. Each runner is given a tongue depressor blade on which they write their name and their predicted finish time to the second. At the finish line, the blades are collected and times listed.
Awards will be given to those coming closest to their own predicted finish time; also, there will be random drawings of finisher names for door prizes. Entry fee is $3; no watches, headphones, or pacing devices are allowed.
November 8 - Val Nolasco Half Marathon
Some amazing performances in this year's Val Nolasco Half Marathon.
Overall winner was Steve Slaby, who smoked his way to an awesome finish, with a time of 1:13:58 and a pace of 5:39/M

October 10 - Kona Iron Man Championships
Craig Alexander and Chrissie Wellington Defend Ford Ironman World Championship Titles
Australia's Craig Alexander and Great Britain's Chrissie Wellington defended their titles today at the Ford Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Alexander added a second consecutive World Championship title to his resume, while Wellington added a third. Wellington's overall time of 8:54:02 broke the course record set in 1992 by Ironman icon, Paula Newby-Fraser.
